Charlie "Parker" (as Joe Biden calls him) is toast already.
He's shielding Karyn Polito (Lt. Gov) by taking all the wuflu heat, but about 3 months ago, he started doing things that indicate he won't run in 2022. All those businesses he shutdown are not happy with Charlie.
Charlie won't pull out early because he needs to keep running interference for Polito, unless the country gets on the other side of CV, then he might to give her some pseudo-incumbency experience.
As the song goes, "He'll never return, no he'll never return. The secret of his fate unlearned..."
Biggest problem is no matter how bad Charlie is, the Massachusetts Democrats will probably put up someone way, way worse.
His new 10pm curfew for the entire state is making many people, especially those in the restaurant business (who have to close now at 9:30) furious.
It's crazy that a republican governor is too authoritarian for liberal voting base, but that is kind of where we are.
