My friend chose an option to vote using the electronic machine. She was given an access card, which after being inserted into the voting machine was rejected saying she has already voted (she hasn't). After some phone calls by one of the polling place workers, she was given a paper provisional ballot. She filled it out and then one of the workers asked her who she voted for and marked the ballot envelope with a "R". I recall hearing not to allow anyone mark your ballot or ask who you voted for at the polling place.
Ballots not recorded. I remember in the past my ballot was scanned and I was able to double check on a paper receipt stored in the ballot box machine who I cast my vote for. Today, the ballot box looked like a cafeteria garbage bin. Shove it into the slot and get out. Not necessarily an indication of any shenanigans but after I thought about this I realized there was not a single step in the whole process which recorded who the ballot was for.

Paper scanner was screwed up in Round Rock. They asked people to hold until they got it fixed. Fortunately it took less than 10 minutes. They had the same problems in 2016.
On the "bright side" the only Biden sign I saw this whole campaign was at the polling place. Drove out to my place in the Davis Mtns. after voting. A 400+ mile drive of Trump flags, signs, etc. NICE!

Im in PA and filled out my stupid paper ballot today. That already annoyed me but that's not what really pissed me off.
After I had already signed my name and filled my ballot out I was waiting in line to insert the paper into the scanner. There was about 30 of us waiting. Well the machine broke and we were told to put our ballots inside this secured locked box and they will scan the papers once the machine is fixed. I couldn't wait because of covid and since I had already signed the book that I showed up to vote I couldn't tear up the ballot and say I'll come back.
While I do trust the little old ladies I'm still pretty sure I just voted for Biden or didn't vote at all.
Paper ballots are more secure. Which doesn't mean it was processed correctly.

PA Voter here, I'm not sure if this is normal, we fill out paper ballots, they go into the machine, but the machine does not display WHO you voted for.... Just counts you as another ballot counted to total. Seems open to fraud
That's the normal process. People behind you or the poll workers could see who you voted for if it showed on the screen. Any mass irregularities should hopefully show up in random manual counts that verify the machines are working correctly. The machines also store a photo of the ballot.

Absolutely seems open to fraud. In Texas at least the machine gives you a receipt with your selections. Still, any software\hardware is rife for fraud.

I posted a comment earlier about being purged from PA voter rolls in Delaware County. Turns out it was my bad. They centralized all the voting to one location and I was in the wrong line because I had precinct mixed up with district... At my normal location there was someone able to direct voters by address but not with this centralized mess. Oh well... Figured I'd be transparent and say I fucked up. There's already enough gasoline on this fire to not need to add any more. Still understaffed with not enough machines which made people wait ridiculous times. Should be a national holiday.

The people who programmed that screen to not show trump without scrolling (or obvious way of knowing you can scroll) are the same people in charge of remotely updating those machine's software.

I think the count displayed is by whichever screen you submit your ballot at. Was at my location, at least. Wife and I showed up first thing and had maybe 20 some people ahead of us, when I put my ballot through it said '10' and the one my wife through said 12 or some shit.

Ballot counter machine down in Indiana today. Printed out my ballot and went to the counter to insert, but they said it wasn’t accepting ballots, so they had an IT guy working on the problem with 2 sheriffs observing. They had us put our ballots in a lock box, and assured us that they would be counted when the machine started working, and that the sheriffs were there to observe the ballots being entered.

Got in around 7am, voted on the ballot, took it to the tabulator. I asked the tabulator worker why the permit (page I give the worker to permit me to tabulate my vote into the ballot box) said “permit for early voting” on election day. He asked his supervisor, who called someone. They both assured me it would count no matter what the permit said, as long as my vote went through the tabulator.
Anyone else in NM have the same issue? I've reported this to OP's link. I fear the Dem lawyers could invaliday a whole box.

When I went to vote today (Pittsburgh, PA), the poll workers asked for my name and then never asked to see any ID (e.g., driver's license). They just took my word for it that I am who I say I am. Nothing else seemed obviously off, but that just seems like it's opening up the doors to voter fraud.
My polling place (NC) just asked my name, with the book lying flat out in front of me, names all easily visible. I could have claimed to be any one of the people on that list. National voter ID may be the single most pressing issue of our time.
NY doesn't even ID and the Early Voting system has you sign an iPad so you can't even validate signatures.
Yep, that is how it is in Maryland. All you need to know is your name and DOB, nothing else. Literally anyone could vote under your name, it is absurd.
In Mass you just need your name and address. They say they have the right to check your ID if something is off, but I’ve never seen it happen (of course that doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened)

Yep, you pretty much nailed it. We saw this in play in 2018 in the NJ-03 Congressional race. Andy Kim and the Burlington County Democrats used that period to "find" ballots that were "accidentally" stored in a "previously undiscovered box" in a County Elections "warehouse". Oh yeah, I agree. If folks have ever worked a campaign on Election Day, they would know everything you said is spot on. The task for tomorrow morning and the next 3 weeks is to challenge and throw out every "new" ballot presented for tally.

We facilitated a fair election in Afghanistan of all places. In person only, photo ID, check the registration rolls, ink the finger, count every ballot in front of God and everybody. Anybody that wants to deviate from this wants to cheat.
There are two reasons why voter turnout has been so low in the US: everybody knows its rigged, and nobody has made a difference. Now that somebody actually makes a difference, people are disturbed at knowing its rigged.
I also put the ballot in the machine myself (PA). No pre-machine fuckery on their end either as far as ballot manipulation goes.
It's the post machine fuckery that's the bigger concern with electronic manipulation. And who makes up ballots with no real voter attached.
