My friend chose an option to vote using the electronic machine. She was given an access card, which after being inserted into the voting machine was rejected saying she has already voted (she hasn't). After some phone calls by one of the polling place workers, she was given a paper provisional ballot. She filled it out and then one of the workers asked her who she voted for and marked the ballot envelope with a "R". I recall hearing not to allow anyone mark your ballot or ask who you voted for at the polling place.

Ballots not recorded. I remember in the past my ballot was scanned and I was able to double check on a paper receipt stored in the ballot box machine who I cast my vote for. Today, the ballot box looked like a cafeteria garbage bin. Shove it into the slot and get out. Not necessarily an indication of any shenanigans but after I thought about this I realized there was not a single step in the whole process which recorded who the ballot was for.
