I went to my assigned polling place around 8am (no lines or waiting) and while filling my ballot I hear that the ballot scanner wasn't working yet. I've never had that issue before. There was one older gentleman who waited to scan his mail-in ballot as soon as the machine was working. Some other voters left their ballots to be scanned later. I didn't take that risk. I asked if I may wait and sat down. Waited about 10 minutes until it finally got to working around 8:30am. Ended up being the first one scanned in. The scanner not working for 90 minutes seems oddly convenient. Just my story.
