Let me ask you, why are the dutch so based? You guys have the third largest number of TDW users (1. USA, 2. UK) and only have 17 million people.
My "conversion" came after seeing the right-wing prime minister candidate Pim Fortuyn and journalist Theo van Gogh being murdered. The media especially portrayed Pim Fortuyn as a racist, evil guy with hideous ideas, never telling what those ideas were. I was brainwashed enough to actually feel relieved he was dead. And that scared me.
I started looking at all his speeches, lectures etc and the guy made sense. Not at all the person the media portrayed him to be. Logical, to the point, funny at times, not afraid to go against the grain. After finding out I was lied to this much I quit my newspaper, quit watching TV, and glad I did.
Unfortunately I live in Amsterdam, the most liberal city of the Netherlands. So I'm a person shouting in a desert here, the rest of the Netherlands can have other reasons for it. There are a lot of farmers for instance, and they keep being fucked over by the government no matter which parties are at the helm. I'd guess that's a reason to become based as well, especially if there's a President who's leading by example around.
I feel for you. But check it out, right now the Netherlands is 3.4% of all traffic on TDW, so you've got a lot of Pedes among you even if you don't know who they are: https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/thedonald.win
I am Texan and I live in Texas. However, I have deep connections in Nederland. Much of my family and many of my best friends are Dutch. Over the last 35 years, I have spent lots of time in Holland. I lived in Amsterdam for a year in the mid-80s. I visit every few years.
Unfortunately, I've never met a Dutch conservative. Since Trump entered politics, I've never met a Dutch Trump supporter. My Dutch friends and family are D66, PDVA, and CDA. I knew a single VVD voter in the late 80s.
As a Dutch Trump supporter, how do you connect with other Trump supporters in Holland? Next time I'm in Nederland it would be great to find some. Maybe I'll wear a Pepe T-shirt. Ha.
Been going to Texas about twice a year for the past 5 years. Although, this year not so much. Can't wait to get back there.
Amsterdam is pretty liberal, the rest of the country is more conservative. Although I suspect there are a few closeted Trump fans on my gun range :-)
I think we've interacted once before on TD. Funny you come to Texas frequently and I go to Nederland often. Small world.
I even went to Nederland when I went to Texas last time :p
HA! I've never been there. Anything interesting there?
They have a nice sports bar.. Just went there to get a selfie with the town sign because why not.
You can go to America in the Netherlands, btw. Also about a 2 hr drive, and also.. uhm, just for the photo op. Don't drive too fast or you'll miss it.
After Texas won independence from Mexico in 1836, The Netherlands recognized the Republic of Texas. There was a Dutch Embassy in Austin and a Texas Embassy in Amsterdam. I believe there was a plaque on the building that housed the Texas Embassy in Amsterdam. Seems like it was in de Wallen.
interesting.. It has to be on the Wallen, around that time anything outside it was moor lands. I'll try to look it up
same situation here
