Just went to vote in VA and the line... didn't even exist. I walked in they checked my ID and gave me a ballot. Everyone I've talked to so far that voted today has said there either was no line or it took them 15min at most.

People I know that voted early said they stood in line for over an hour. I have never stood in line for more than 10-15min since I started voting. Maybe Red counties just know how to do things right.

Now the line at the liquor store was long but why have two cashiers when one employee has to check your coonmask/klanmask?

Similar wait in a blue county in NC -

  • First, I wish someone would have to check my ID. Saying ID is "disenfranchisement" is absolute bullshit.
  • Polls opened at 6:30AM
  • Left the house at 6:35
  • 20 minute wait time. Just enough time to catch some spicey memes and rare Pepes on TD while waiting.
  • Enjoyed LOL moment when the a guy came to offer us a democrat voter guide and my wife said, "Democrat? Oh HEEELLLLL NOOOO." (She's as southern as they come so imagine the accent)
  • Fed my own ballot into the machine around 7:15
  • Absolutely no line by the time we headed back to the car.
  • Home before 7:30

Yeah, they check your ID in my county/city always have. You also have to state your full name and address. I like it.
