NJ pede here. I just voted in Sussex county NJ. Our county is basically the only one in the state that leans republican. I was just at my polling location and something seemed off. After I filled out the paper ballot, the guy there asked to see it to ‘check for errors’. He looked it over, folded it and put it in the provisional envelope I also had to fill out (burned my mail in ballot). Then had me place it in a slot that fed into a large blue canvas bag. Seemed real sketchy to me that he had to look it over. Any one else experience this in NJ or elsewhere?

Yes the man there did it to the guy before me and a guy who was just after me. We both looked at each other confused.

Dude, that is straight up fuckery. No one should eyeball your filled out ballot.
You must report this. If there are GOP poll watchers at your location, contact them or their organiser, they should know what to do.
It was a little bit of both. Was only after the fact I learned of the provisional. :-(

Your vote is CONFIDENTIAL. Nobody gets to look over it. The only reason someone would demand to do this is malfeasance, and he will continue all day unless you notify Team Trump.
