I was a liberal for a while. But around 2015 i started seeing major issues with the left's behaviors, most importantly their willingness to censor their political opponents. 2016 was the first year I was eligible to vote, and I didn't because although I was still very left leaning and didn't like Trump, Hillary was just terrible. Over the next couple years I started to listen to the kinds of people the left actively tried to deplatform, mostly people like Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro. It wasn't for their views at first, it was mostly in response to the efforts to censor them. But as I listened to their actual words instead of what my leftist friends filtered for me, I realized most of what I believed about Trump and conservatives in general was based on lies. Kavanaugh was the last straw for me. Voted red in 2018, andvoted for Trump half an hour ago. First started browsing TheDonald when Reddit quarantined it, and I gotta say I fucking love this community.
