I voted in person in The People's Republic of Kalifornia.
While in line they were handing everyone cards and said we needed to fill them out and sign them to get a ballot.
I did not fill mine out and when I got to the table the guy at first said he couldn't give me a ballot.
I showed him my ID and signed the ledger book as usual and told him to look me up in the computer, it used to be huge voter roll books.
He looked me up and said my ID and signature matched but called a supervisor before he could give me a ballot.
Supervisor came over and I said I needed to fill out the card to get a ballot. I asked her to show me where the law had changed since the last election. She said she had no proof and could not show me that the law had changed.
Another person ahead of me didn't want to fill it out either and he was off to the side listening to see what would happen with me. They finally relented and gave me a ballot without filling out their extra card because they could not prove it was legally required.
Supervisor said they don't take IDs anymore because it is considered an invasion of privacy!
I insisted they use my ID to verify my identity and they finally gave me a ballot.
One thing I did not like was you cast your votes on a touchscreen and then your ballot is printed at the end with a QR code they scan later.
But your choices are also listed on the paper so they could just choose to not scan your sheet if they see you voted for someone they don't like.

The page that is printed goes into a giant box that is picked up and taken somewhere to be scanned.

The lady there said the ballots are picked up to be scanned and counted.

Oh my gosh my ballot was like that in Colorado too! I didn’t even realize that was a possibility, but we had a choice of what kind of ballot we want to use so I’ll have to use the full paper/old fashioned one next time. Luckily our county clerk is a republican.

I work at a community center in a blue part of Georgia that has been doing voting and it's been empty most of the time I've been here. During early voting there were a lot of people but there's been nothing today.

I live in Tlaib's district which is in SE Michigan and of course voted for John James, but the number of voters in my precinct is way up from 2016. Was told up about 30%. My democrats house representative has received phone calls from me ~10min today. Mark DeSaulnier is on the house subcommittee for national security. I have been imploring them since last week to provide an answer as to the authenticity of the Hunter Biden laptop and emails.
The legislative director has started to pick up today. I said if she can’t answer me - I’m going to knock on the congressman’s door and ask myself.
Fast forward - I get a call from the capitol police. They essentially laugh and said “you’re well within your rights- just don’t harm anybody.” And we share a laugh and talk about working from home. I told him that she was weaponizing him as a means of intimidation but I know it’s not his fault. He said more or less “just doing my job” for which I thanked him.
What was only a week of phone calls will now turn into an every day occurrence. I’ve already spoken to the legislative director since and let her know her attempt at intimidation failed and now she will hear from me every day. Always. Never not hear from me.
You could just ANSWER THE FUCKING QUESTION but instead she’s made her life a living hell every single working day moving forward.

Just voted at around 9:30am here in Beautiful Indiana. First presidential election this 20 year old has ever voted in and no matter what I'm proud it was for Donald J. Trump. Got my mom to vote at her lunch break, the first Big Party Presidental candidate she has ever voted for and the first time she has voted since 2008. All my family from my hardworking parents, to my doctor brother, and active military sister and brother-in-law all voted Trump. I LOVE MY FAMILY!
