Starts at $10 then goes up $1 every year until it hits $15. I voted against it, but it is an incremental change.

Is it binding? If so, get used to giving your restaurant order to robots and busing your own tables.

covid already fucked floridas economy (tourism + hospitlaity). everyone is laid off, and no one is hiring. and then they pass this minimum wage shit. idiots. Florida is booming because COMPANIES are moving here and hiring. min wage + covid fucks it all

I'm 36. This means the minimum wage in FL has tripled in my adult years.

Hello touch-screen ordering at fastfood and restaurants.

Nah. Not saying this won't have a lot of bad effects and job loss. But we're a destination economy. As long as Florida is a tropical destination to those not in Florida, we can (hopefully) make it work. With robots.

Should've made it $10,000/hour so everyone down there could be rich.

Bet it would've passed.

That is really short sighted. Burger flippers will be making as much as some people who've worked for years. And the audacity of burger flippers who think they should make as much as skilled people. I do see it going bad. I loved to go to Florida, but haven't been able to afford it already. Mississippi and Alabama will make more in tourist money. Beautiful beaches and cheaper prices. I miss going.
