Man it is really hard to say. There is so much to see, you have forests to deserts to beaches in one state. Plus at its widest it’s a 12 hour drive.
It really depends on what you like. If you can spare a 3 day weekend go to Houston. Go during the rodeo. Go to the rodeo one day. Then another day go the Space Center, they have a shuttle with the 747 piggyback and you can go in both. They also have a restored Saturn V that is incredible. And then on the other day go to the Museum of Natural History. Has one of the best fossil collections in the country if not the world.
Another fun thing could be the Texas State Fair which is in Dallas.
If you’re more the outdoors type the Texas Hill country offers some great camping and hiking and fishing around the Highland Lakes.
Really you could devote an entire vacation and not see a fraction of the cool stuff here.
If things escalated to a hot civil war, I would, for a promise of being allowed to stay, travel from Europe and help defend GEOTUS and the true American values.
As the EU forces more sharia supporting islamists into Europe, the future will bring Islamic political parties and they will ally with leftwing parties to gain power.
As soon as this happens things will escalate quickly through lawmaking and then things will turn bloody.
Multiculture is okay as long as the cultures have the same values. Islam and western culture does not mix.
