I've seen a lot of "fuck Arizona" posts but I wanted to add my two cents. I think that Joe Biden's (probable) win there is an anomaly that only happened due to COVID. Remember, Obama won Indiana in 2008 but other than that it's been Republican for decades. I won't get into Indiana right now but in 2008 the stars aligned for Obama. I don't think our performance in AZ is due to Californication, or at least that's only part of the answer.
Trump was definitely underperforming with seniors compared to 2016. A lot of that was due to MSM lies about Trump's handling of COVID, and unfortunately a lot (not all) of seniors don't know how to use the internet, or if they do they don't have knowledge of sites like TheDonald.win so they can see the truth. A lot of them haven't ditched cable yet. You also have to remember that seniors a lot of times vote in person, but COVID definitely might have scared some of them off (because they are actually the group that's truly vulnerable to COVID)
Trump did better in 2020 with the Hispanic vote (about 10%) but that was mainly in Florida and probably not the same Hispanic population in Arizona. He probably did better in AZ with Hispanics too but seniors vote at much higher rates and AZ has a lot of seniors.
Edit: Another reason might be that there was no love lost between McCain and Trump. Not sure how popular McCain was, or is, in Arizona but I'd imagine he got elected as a neocon war hawk in Arizona for a reason.
BTW: Do we really want to become a salt mine? Arizonans, New Yorkers, and even Californians are all our fellow Americans. We have a responsibility to redpill them too. Cubans who escape from communism come here and vote Republican because they know what the democrats will bring: socialism. So I see no reason why Californians who escape from Newsom can't be similarly convinced. The same thing goes for the black vote or any other group.
Arizona hasnt counted ED votes...
Arizona elects senators like McCain and Flake for a reason, because they are closet Democrats and globalist scumbag traitors. We elected two strong conservative governors;. Evan Mecham and Fife Symington. They were forced from office on made up corruption charges. One of the guys who led the attack on Mecham was Ed Buck.
That might be a factor too. I'll edit the original post to reflect that.
If we lose Arizona and elect a super gun grabbing senator here. I will laugh at these fucks as we all walk to the trains and mock them for how they brought it about.
It was lost because that's what was required to push attention to PA. We'll all be distracted by PA for the next week or so.
Arizona is highly corrupt. ASU's Dean Michael Crow has a huge influence on politics in the state and lots of outside money is funneled through him. Many RINOs in the GOP here and we run a crappy ass candidate for Senate after she already lost once. I agree many seniors are heavily influenced by MSM and COVID. I will say there is some fuckery afoot with ballots being cancelled and news of polling stations using sharpies to invalidate ballots.
Trump had better lawyer up in AZ!
Though if we win the rust belt with the margins we have now, then we won't need to
People who come here from Cuba and Venezuela to escape socialism and communism voted for Trump in massive numbers, especially compared to 2016. I think they realize what the Dems stand for. Why should Californians be any different?
If there's a war between California, New York, and the rest of the country then you can expect us to turn into India and Pakistan, two nuclear-armed nations who are at each other's throat. Even in the best-case scenario we end up like Bosnia Herzegovina, Northern Ireland, or South Africa where they have a tribalist system of government.
Propaganda works. That's why they do it.
