What you see is crony capitalism, a perversion of governmental officials, banking, and mega corps, all controlled by the federal reserve bank, which is private. You see the same actions in Hong Kong/China.
Upper classes themselves are not inherently evil. All should aspire to that state and in America (historically, maybe not anymore per above point) people can create and develop ideas and products to meet both current and new demands.
In a Marxist/Socialist country, the levels of creativity and happiness plummet and work is done at the end of a gun, not because one is interested. Why do you think all socialist and communist countries have revolutions and then mass deaths/massacres every generation? It is because it goes against human nature to be controlled.
