Move to any Charlotte suburb. Eastern Gaston County is where it's going on if you want a laid back, easy-going place to live. If beer is your thing, you can deal with the weirdos in Charlotte, tons of breweries there... a few hours from the beach and an hour and a half from the mountains. Can't beat it. Cost of living is one of the best in the USA if you don't build new.

I have to be close to the coast. I'm an avid boater and have never lived more than a walk away from a body of water that didn't spill into the Atlantic Ocean.

I've been to Charlotte, and it is a great city, but I'm more of a local pub guy than a clubber.

I love mountains and rural areas, but I hate to drive.

I need the same advice. Longest line I ever saw at our polling place on the day, but over 60% went Biden. Usually a split or even red town. Used a sharpie. Hmmmm

VA pede here. NC is a pretty decent place. Decent jobs abound. I think any location you choose will be pretty decent

I love NC. The people are incredibly friendly, a dollar is worth $1.50 compared to CT, and the state pretty much leaves the people alone instead of getting all up in their shit.

I love my little New England town, but a man can only take so much.
