Corruption would be rampant since Theocracies are even more vulnerable to corruption since Religious values can be easily faked by power hungry psychopaths. Protestantism was founded because of the corruption of a Theocracy, so repeating that isn't going to help.

We just need to defend the Constitution. It works fine, and that's proven.
