These aren't the big fat sharpies. These are fine tip sharpies, used by artists. They appear to be very much like a pen if you don't know any better. I can see why people wouldn't think twice.
I feel the need to disagree. Without just repeating myself, everyone has filled out official documents of some sort. You always fill out in pen. You can't even sign your check in anything but blue or black pen.
I don't get the sharpie thing either. Everyone in existence knows you can't fill out scan papers with a fucking marker 🤦♂️
