This reminds me of The Shelter episode of the Twilight Zone I watched during New Years. No spoilers but many of my lib friends defended the neighbors actions of breaking into the man's shelter even when he made it abundantly clear he only had enough food, supplies, and room for his immediate family. Property damage and rights were completely irrelevant to my lib friends.

You have not been confronted with the prepper scenario, and it may not happen. Until then, table the fantasies about turning them away. You aren't going to like how you feel about yourself if you continue to entertain them.
Meanwhile, build your own family after your own heart. Build a happy life, with good people and good humor in it.

Morality is often pretty subjective so I will not claim to be morally correct. I will say however that anyone who supports communist revolutionaries (‘democrats’) are thugs and tyrants. They are collectivist authoritarians who oppose individual human freedom and will convert everyone into slaves for an arbitrarily defined fictional collective. Bottom line, I don’t consider them human beings, but rather predatory animals.
