Assuming Alaska goes for Trump, Trump now has 217 electoral votes. That means he needs 53 votes from the following states (or 52 to TIE!):

  • PA(20)
  • NC(15)
  • GA(16)
  • AZ (11)
  • NV (6)

This means that Trump must win PA and 3/4 of the other states:

  • If Trump drops NC, and wins PA GA AZ NV he gets 270
  • If Trump drops GA, and wins PA NC AZ NV he gets a 269 TIE (a tie is likely a win for us since Dem’s dropped house seats... haven’t verified this yet though).
  • If Trump drops AZ and wins PA NC GA NV he wins easily.
  • If Trump drops NV and wins PA NC GA AZ he wins easily

A tie should be a win since the votes are based off state government. It's not the same as a regular house vote.

It’s not decided by state government. Each state gets one vote, which is decided by each state’s delegation in the house. For example, all of California’s members in the house of representatives will decide who they want, the majority (likely Biden) will be 1 vote from California. Trump would likely win as there are more Republican majority house delegations than democrats. The Senate decides the Vice President and each senator gets to vote.
