Is there any truth to the stuff circulating on social media that ballots cast with a sharpie will be "accepted" by the tabulator machine, but be invalidated after the fact?

That's all they had at our polling station where I went yesterday and didn't think anything of it.

Check your vote to make sure it was not tossed out

In MN we asked when we were voting and they said there’s no way for us to confirm or validate that our vote was counted

Where can I go to check that info? I wasn't able to find anything right off the bat on the SOS website here
