If you have voter ID, you shouldn't need proof of registration or citizenship assuming the voter registration rolls are correct.

I think that is a little extreme, voting lines can be long enough as it is without having to show 3 pieces of ID. Drivers license should be good enough

That is because they have additional fuckery that everyone who gets a license is automatically registered to vote
