And the last 4 years have made me agree with that. I admit, I used to buy the 'everyone should vote, everyone should be able to vote' Kool Aid, now I say you should be 25 or older (before anyone calls me fascist, I am only 23, so I would willingly strip myself of the right to vote), have to be a net tax payer, not be on any government assistance (INCLUDING government student loans), while I'm a fan of adding you have to be a parent, the last one is one I'm willing to compromise on since that ones not as black and white as the rest. Under these rules, you'd have skin in the game to want to vote better, if you can't be on government assistance then you're not gonna vote for a gib, and you'd be older and more developed. I was a fucking Bohemian when I was 18 and have came a long way as I got older and got sober, I wouldn't make some of my decisions at 18 today cause I've had more life experience. Why I believe in the kid thing is because if you're a parent, you have a future as for if you're childless you don't have that link to the future. That's why Angela Merkel feels ok with letting Rapefugees in cause she doesn't have a daughter who's as risk of being raped by one or a son who could get killed by one.But with the parent stipulation, I do get that that one can actually be impossible for some people so that's why I'm willing to compromise on.

I think 25 is the right age to vote. You should have lived long enough to see and understand the way the world and the system really works. I was a naive idiot until I got up into my twenties.

And your prefrontal cortex should be fully developed by that age
