Its used to prove fraud in taxes, why not political races?

Its hard to explain well, but basically:

In random sequences the first digit from a bunch of random numbers should follow a curve. Its been proving through a bunch of different avenues like music to taxes. And whenever the curve isnt followed, it is proof that there is foul play.

I hate to say it, but theres a great episode on Netflix show called 'connected'. It really is interesting.

Actually as Im typing this they did mention it can be used to detect election fraud in the episode.
