A close friend of mine is a teacher at a really retarded school in Phoenix. The principal is making the teachers purchase turkeys for their students' families. So on top of everything already required of them - extra supplies, extra time planning and adjusting to "the new normal," getting Google certified for some bullshit and tying that to their bonus (so if they don't get certified, they lose something they're entitled to!), all the candy they had to buy for their stupid trunk or treat bullshit, on top of all that nonsense, they have to shell out an extra ~$40 for an entire turkey that they won't even get to eat! Talk about the government replacing the family, and not allowing the teachers any say in the matter. Teachers have their own families to feed, and the taxpayer shouldn't be (further) subsidizing people who already have so much! Nobody who goes to that school is going hungry. They all have the newest iPhones, Samsungs, whatever's out there right now, they got it. If teaches want to buy a turkey for a student's welfare family, that's fine, but it shouldn't be mandatory!

This school does all kinds of stupid bullshit in the name of "community/giving back/being there," when, stupid motherfuckers, they only exist because the government takes our money. It's like if you had a gaping wound that decided to "give back" by growing a fungus. I fucking hate these people.
