My elderly mother who is 71 who never voted even once in her lifetime and really pissed me off tonight. She has leaned on the conservative side her whole life, but hates Trump.
For years she told me things such as "Trump has no class", "He is an embarrassment and doesn't act presidential", "Trump is a liar", "No other countries like us anymore because of him", and "He doesn't know how to talk to anyone with respect".
When I called her tonight she said "Are you watching the election"? I told her I was and that the democrats are sleazes who are cheating and she told me "Why don't you stop being a sore loser and admit he lost because Biden was way more popular"? She called all of us Trump supporters a bunch of sore losers and cry babies.
She is not a Biden supporter either, but kept saying "I get three newspapers and watch the news, don't you?" I told her the media was biased and she laughed at me. I told her there was proof that there were shenanigans going on and she said "Just admit it to yourself that your side lost".
She was acting very bitter and I hung up on her. Thanksgiving is going to be a shit show this year. Feels bad when your own mother can't see what is really going on.
EDIT: If I was 100% sure no cheating was going on I would be okay with a Trump loss, but I feel certain there is BS going on behind the scenes.
The other problem with losing this election is it's not just losing to a Democrat, it's losing to SOCIALISTS.
Socialists don't see any structure that isn't theirs as valid. The Constitution is not a valid structure to a socialist. Our God given rights are not valid to a socialist. So everything is on the line.
The reason the DOJ/FBI/et cetera are so fucked up is because Obama bulldozed through all of these institutions with a Gramscian accuracy. He left NO stone unturned. I bet the fucking janitors in the State Department are flaming communists too. Obama had that privilege because the American people cannot be outraged about things they don't know about. So he got away with it. Trump could not do the same, because all of the centrists, independents, and moderates would lose their fucking shit over it. If you think the midterms was a disaster, think about what would happen if Trump had listened to us.
I have to maintain strength, but I'm also having to confront the bullshit I've been spewing the last couple of months about "A landslide victory for Trump!" a landslide my ass. Maybe I'll learn my lesson this time around
