The people around me now are cold as ice, boring as fk. No one is making any jokes, sharing any personal opinions. Cannot even keep a conversation going. People felt like are made of fragile egg shells and mindless drones with no personality.

Come to Florida. Not the most conservative state, but that's why you'd actually be able to make a difference. Plus, no state income tax.

With tourism sector having taken a giant hit due to Covid, and the just passed $15 min wage (phased in), and the increasing craziness in this state, FL is starting to look worse in the years ahead. Still better than many other places, but if Dems get into power here (Gillum was VERY close) then kiss FL goodbye. The demographics are shifting and while Trump took the state now, the future looks uncertain, a lot of young, diverse people with crazy notions in their heads

Are big cities in Florida totally different than the suburban areas?

Every place in FL is totally unique and different from all other parts of the state. South Florida basically feels like you're in a very big, expensive developed version of Latin America. Miami is a fun but wild city. Tampa is a growing city. You have huge college towns like Gainesville, Tallahassee. Orlando is massive with theme parks and hotels etc. You have rural areas in the north. Lots of suburban areas like clearwater, naples, etc. Yes, the cities feel 100% different from the suburban areas. Florida has real cities, but they're not as big and dirty or quite dangerous as places like NYC

Yeah, but that's exactly why I need good pedes to be moving IN not out. If all of us run to TX, we'll enjoy a massive electoral landslide in one state and lose everything else.

And you can't get good alligator meat in TX.

I believe you're thinking of Louisiana where Bobby Boucher eats alligator and snake meat. Florida Man prefers human meat:

I've lived in both. I'm stationed in Louisiana right now, but Florida has superior fried gator tail by a mile.
