Hello everyone. I think I remember reading a while back something about how in the early stages of nazi germany certain tactics were used such as media censorship, pressuring the population with constant funded riots and civil unrest, and so on, kind of like we're seeing here now.

Does anyone know of any good books on the topic that I could read, to learn more about the history of it? I have a very close friend of mine who's very liberal, who appears to be completely blind to what's currently going on. He's constantly spewing bs comparing Trump to Hitler, and I want to be able to brush up on history a bit so I can be like "ACTUALLY"...

Not nazi Germany but you can’t go wrong with “1984”

I actually love that book. I had mentioned it to him a while ago, and he did say he read it. I think he needs to get a bit more out of it though lol.

I used to think we were heading scarily close to 1984, but I've realized we've actually been there for quite a while to some extent

Unfortunately, practically anything you could cite would simply be turned around on you, like so: "Yeah, Bad Orange Man controls the conservative media (Fox, Breitbart, etc.) who spread the real propaganda so Evil Capitalists can have all the money and make poor people suffer.

Don't give up trying, but redpills are best if dispensed sparingly. Sometimes people get to the redpill by slowly thinking about one thing at a time. You often hear people say, "I was liberal until one day I started thinking about X." That often leads to 'Y' and others.

You just have to figure out what 'X' equals.

Unfortunately you are probably 100% right on this one. I keep telling myself I shouldn't really be trying so much with him, since he'll likely wake up when his time to wake up comes. However it always gets so annoying hearing him spout off all this shit, and me have to just nod my head like "whatever" knowing full well half the shit he says isn't even relevant anyway.

He even hates the elites of the world as much as I do, yet when I attempt to explain to him that maybe it's not best to follow exactly what they want you to do then, I still get nowhere.

Albert Speer's Inside the Third Reich, or Joseph Goebbels' diaries.

Ernst Roehm also wrote an auto biography before he was killed on the Night of the Long Knives.

Before the Nazis came to power, Speer had the most insight of the world then, but he wasn't a big political mover and shaker until after Dr. Todt's death and he was promoted to Armaments Minister.
