OK driving home from a massage (don't hate me; it was serendipity) this thought hit me.
After overhearing the masseuse say how many people she'd spoken to were furious (she works three public-facing jobs, so while not statistically significant, it's better than normal anecdotal evidence) -- and this is in super liberal coastal California -- about the election results. She added that they were just hoping that trump would find a way so they wouldnt have to leave the state and/or country...
What if this IS a trap?
What if trump is gonna catch them red-handed, win this election, then make the case that this can NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN, which obviously it mustn't.
He then not only has the presidency but the Everest equivalent of the moral high ground on the voter ID issue.
In one master stroke, with the support of half the country, we would take an enormous step to restoring the Republic Ben Franklin warned us we'd have to fight to keep.
Please, please let me be right.

I saw something about this on another post as well. It’s been kept awfully quiet. I wonder if this ties in to his tweet a while back about foreign govs mass printing ballots. Definitely 4D chess if true.
I had the same thought this morning. Trump, as well as his son Eric, both seem strangely calm and confident today, almost like they were expecting the Democrats to pull something like this. If Trump really felt like his reelection was in danger I think he'd be adopting a more angry/alarmist tone.
Also, Trump canceled his election night party before voting even began, based on what I've heard. If true this is further evidence that he knew what was coming.
So this morning when I was at work I thought that maybe Trump is setting a trap for the Democrats: he'll let them attempt to steal the election in broad daylight, he will win in court once all the evidence is discovered, and during his second term he will push for election security laws that include, among other things, voter ID.
Brazil has voter ID laws. India has voter ID laws. Mexico has voter ID laws. But for some reason voter ID laws are racist when they happen in America.

Don't you need the House, Senate, and Presidency to do that?
I dont know what the constitution says about the election process. Seems like something I should look up. I'll get back to you.
