Dan Ball is a pompous ass who is absolutely clueless. And he spent most of last night talking ignorant nonsense at high volume, trying to drown out Franco, Salvi, and Wall, each of whom is much more knowledgeable and articulate than Ball. I got so disgusted that I finally switched to Newsmax.
I have no idea what OAN was thinking when they hired this guy (he has a "colorful" history) and hired his skanky fiancee as a "producer" (her instagram account is a soft-core porn site, featuring endless photos of herself in thong bikinis and no indication whatsoever that she has any interest in news or TV production).
He's a recent replacement for Graham Ledger's nightly opinion show. I liked Ledger, but he was sort of quirky and I could see how he would never have been a big audience builder. But Ball is just appalling. Alex Salvi is absolutely awesome, and Jennifer Franco and Greta Wall are both very solid too. But they could barely get a word in edgewise with all of Ball's babbling, and he literally had no clue what he what he was talking about when he kept predicting how particular states would go. He seemed to have no clue that percent of precincts reported does not correlate directly with percent of total votes reported, and kept ignoring the fact that big urban areas with huge numbers of voters and that skew heavily Democrat hadn't yet reported. The other three were left unable to say much because they weren't free to call him out as an ignoramus on-air.
