I have for a long time advocated taking out the Democrat Party in one fell swoop for their sedition of Nullification
All the Democrat cities (and the state) that passed laws to create sanctuary areas for illegal aliens are committing the sedition of Nullification (nullifying federal law that via constitutional authority preempts lessor jurisdictions).
The Trump platform has some item about bring sanctuary cities to an end.
But here's the deal - there's a very specific way they should be ended.
The federal policing powers (make militias federal marshals if necessary) need to go and arrest the political leaders (mayors, governor) over these illegal sanctuary cities and arrest every individual that cast a vote for local laws that nullified federal law authority in these areas.
And then because they have been in prolonged rebellion against the federal compact, those areas need to be reverted back to federal territory status and put under federal territory administration - where the executive branch appoints federal territory administrators.
The representation to the federal congress from these areas should then be barred from stepping foot in Wash DC on pain of arrest.
If the federal govt. were to seriously crack down on this sedition, then the Democrat Party could be gutted from political power in one fell swoop.
The president can call up the militia of the citizens to assist - and should deputize them as federal marshals.
We could get this done in short order. Once their political power is gutted, then would be possible to start trying to repair the institutions that have been wrecked.
A second term president with the senate is extremely powerful, and a loooot of things can be corrected.
