Normally I'd search, but the search function seems to not be working. I was looking online but wanted to see if I could get a definitive answer. Are ballots opened and sorted into piles, and then counted? Or are ballots opened, counted, and then discarded?

I did a little calculating related to the weirdness in Michigan this morning. I as many others witnessed, saw the vote increase by around 120k votes for biden, without a SINGLE vote for trump. This is suspicious. Simple math states that the chances of this happening are a 1 in (More than the number of atoms in the observable universe), IF ballots are opened and then counted, without sorting. If they are sorted prior, someone could use the argument that "oh those were just counted before and added in a chunk" or something.
