Not a lawyer but maybe states with a Republican legislature (MI, PA, etc.) can just threaten to appoint electors for DJT unless the Dems agree to a redo.

The fear of an Article II is it will delegitimize a Presidency... Well we don't need to have that fear anymore because the left has tried to delegitimize Trump's Presidency for the last four years and if we let Biden in that will be seen as illegitimate by us. Thus no reason not to appoint Trump electors.
