After Reagan was probably when the establishment decided to kick into gear and not allow another "outsider" in. Ross Perot gave them a good run though, and then Trump came along.
I am not american but from what I have seen, the US needs mandatory voter ID for all local, state and national elections. I cannot think of a good reason not to do so.

They didnt cheat when Hillary ran. She was polling so well that they didnt think they needed to. Because there was no cheating(or very minimal), Trump win in 2016. They knew that they would have to add in 10's of millions of ballots this time around to defeat Trump. Now we just have to prove it.
In most of those elections the choice was between globalist candidate A and globalist candidate B. Anyone who got in and didn't toe the globalist line was either killed (JFK), forced out (Nixon), or had their administration thoroughly compromised (Reagan).
And if you think about it, each election cycle, both sides are from the swamp. So have we really voted for a true candidate of the people ever before Trump in modern times?
