Yeah double barrel. They are also good in other ways. For one, it's dead simple to see if one is loaded, and it is quick to load one. I don't keep mine loaded for that reason. I am well practiced at loading it. But my point is if you keep a shotgun unloaded, no one will ever accidentally shoot themselves with it.
Two, they do not jam. You don't have to worry about keeping it well oiled or whatever. I mean you still have to clean it after you shoot it. I'm just saying they are less cantankerous than pump or semi-auto shotguns.
