Fair enough. I used to be that way ... the past two years have been bad for me and old liberal friends. They're no longer a part of my life. I've frigging had it with them.
They became a bunch of petulant children since they think that they deserve a free ride through life. I get shit from them because I did something with myself. They're heading into their 50s now with literally nothing and they're realizing that they pissed away a lot of their life drinking and throwing darts every fucking night of the week.
Instead of blaming themselves and trying to rectify it, they blame society and Trump. We argued one night, it got personal, and I ceased all communication.
That was that. I was called "greedy" because I thought taxes (which none of them pay) were ridiculously high. Like all political arguments, it escalated. I left and never looked back.
Did it suck at first ... fuck yes. These are people I've known most of my life. However, I have less stress and really don't miss being around them. If they want to fix the mess they made, that's cool. Otherwise, they're dead to me.
