The next step would be to take the conservative America and keep working on it, until it splits again. And again. This country has always had a full spectrum of ideologies. The difference now is that we have been under 50 years of Marxist/Leninist Indoctrination. Liberals and Conservatives can coexist peacefully. Communists and Capitalists can not. THAT is actually our problem.
We need checks and balances, as well as a variety of ideas, in all aspects as free people to learn and develop as a nation. What we need is more focus on state and local government with less power and less money on a federal level.
More than anything, we need to educate future generations on our country’s founding principles and the importance of liberty.
I wouldn’t want to be sister countries to a country controlled by the current left, nor would I want a country controlled by the NeoCons of the past several decades.
