Because it was originally made as a pro-Trump subreddit on Reddit. Much like someone wouldn't be allowed to enter a My Little Pony fan reddit to post about how terrible it is, it's a space for fans. We had a separate sub for debates. This is common Reddit Culture--there are feminist subs, mens rights subs, and debate subs.
Reddit had an obvious bias in its supposedly neutral subs, such as r/politics, etc. against conservatives. It also began enacting censorship only against specifically conservative subs, where people were driven by the political bias on mainstream subs only allowing one position.
It is a safespace, because we weren't allowed within normal spaces. We were told we weren't welcome, so we made our own site. If this is the only place we ever are, yes, it will be an echo chamber. The fact that we acknowledge this as a Trump-biased forum allows us to acknowledge the slant here, and we engage with other opinions out in reality, and if we still use them, out on other sites which have a clear leftist bias. Leftists exist. People who disagree with us exist. We must and do interact with them. But this is our space for this. It does not infringe on anyone else's rights or space.
