The Constitution specifies that if no candidate can secure 270 electoral votes in December, the House is obligated to determine the president. This has happened in the 19th century so there's both constitutional law and legal precedent.

You might think this is a disaster, but the Constitution doesn't require a simple majority in the House: it requires representatives to form caucuses by state. For example, Texas representatives would meet and vote amongst themselves. At the moment Republicans control 2 more states if this process were to occur before January, 1 state is tied, and 1 would be a potential tie because it has a former Republican turned Libertarian. Furthermore, we actually made grounds in the House so there is no hard deadline for our benefit. Stall tactics hurt Democrats even more.

Nancy Pelosi also can't play games with chamber rules. The Constitution specifies that for this process a quorum just entails 37 states having 1 representative present. Needless to say, that is really easy to accomplish.

All right, new copypasta time boys

I'm going to be contacting my State House of Representatives in Congress to let them know that in the event of a contested election I want them to vote for Trump electors.

It doesn't take that much of a message, it doesn't take much commitment.

All it requires is for you to remind them that they work for you and not Washington DC, and that you are expecting them to get Trump into the White House. THREATEN to primary their sorry butts if they don't comply! BE NICE ABOUT IT, BUT MAKE SURE THEY GET THE HINT.

How awful would it be if it got down to a house vote and a bunch of spineless rinos voted for joe?

I suggest you do the same.

Fellow Kansas friends, this is the people you need to get in contact with. Everyone else look up your own state.

You also need 1 Senator to object.

(from 2000) In order to contest the electoral votes when counted by Congress, at least 1 Representative and 1 Senator must object.

That's why people like Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell should be complaining about voter fraud.

I honestly think Mitch sees Trump losing as the best shot to hold a tough Senate battle in 2022, since it’s easier to do as the opposition party.

I do not expect swamp turtle to go out on any limb.

The states in question have republican legislatures. They can deny the votes to be certified. That's what should happen.

I don't see it going to the S.C the fraud is so blatant and it's reaching everyone fast, the longer this draws on the worse it gets for the Dem.

This may have to happen with the rampant fraud if we cannot be secure in trusting the votes with so many illegal votes or drops of actual votes going on.

Electors vote for the president, not us.
