The problem is that we still have remnants of those political activists trying to steer citizen journalism as well. We have shit like Buzzfeed propagating handheld videos of shit like the selective recording of Floyd and big tech enabling them.
I've often wondered whether we could speed up the demise of the newspapers by encouraging the 'muh climate change' crowd to boycott them over being a hugely unnecessary waste of paper. So many poor trees cut down etc etc.
