Last 2 Gov elections were decided this way. Late election night Dems used New Haven once and Bridgeport the other time to magically come up with the necessary votes for a Dem victory. Took it national for this election.

Wouldn't quite call it the "Connecticut model". This is standard practice. It's been going on forever. They wait until all the red counties are done counting so they know how many votes they need from the blue cities.
Problem this time was, Trump won so hard, that they had to cheat to such a degree, that they outed themselves. It's there for all to see.
