I don't agree with him politically but the man knows basic right from wrong. There used to be a time when left and right could agree on important things. You know stuff like pedophiles are bad, you shouldn't forge a FISA warrant and Sedition is a capital offence for a good reason.

I disagree with Ralph Nader on most of his policies (almost all of them really) but seat belts are undeniably beneficial and he played his role in getting them standardized.
The number of lives saved by seat belts since the 60s is easily in the hundreds of thousands.
I always enjoyed listening to Ralph. There's a lot of honest, decent left leaning folks and he is one of them. We should respect and welcome the honest ones we disagree with.

Honestly, in terms of politics I truly only care about sincerity, if I fervently disagree with someone, if I believe they are sincere in their beliefs, that they truly believe that what they are doing is best for the country, then I do not worry. However, I think that is why my stomach hurts so much, when someone's only driving force is gaining power and their beliefs change solely to gain them more power, then I am very very fearful.
