He's never really supported Trump but he is scared of the far-left.

That was the case for awhile, but lately he has started actually supporting Trump. He's always talking about how much he likes the middle-east peace deals, the economy, etc.

He can't go too hard though, he needs to stay on the fence to be a reliable/trustworthy source of the objective reality for people from both sides.
