There is no need for weeks of early voting, no need for unsolicited mail-in ballots. NONE!
PATRIOTS vote in person on election day! Our ancestors finished the harvest, prayed on Sunday, walked or rode to the polls on Monday, voted in person on the first Tuesday in November.
What weak sisters in the 21st century can't do that?? Voting is a civic duty. It should not be like mailing a Christmas card.
Living eligible citizens voted in person on election day and elected their representatives.
A solicited absentee ballot by someone too sick to go to the polls on election day is allowed. I don't think they are purged if a person was no longer living on election day. Go ahead and vote absentee.
Perhaps that should be a uniform rule, to discard ballots of people who died between mailing the legitimate absentee ballot and election day, because dead people should not get to vote for representatives who will be in office making decisions for living people? I am not pushing for that.
