Hopefully my formatting doesnt mess this up as I am posting from a cellphone, but below I have tracked voter turnout compared to us population, and year of election since 1980. This doesnt prove anything, but it is interesting to see voter turnout below 40% of the us population when a Republican wins, and then see it over 40% when a Democrat wins, and more recently "Historic" total voters when a Democrat wins (Obama 2008, and now in 2020).

85 mil 1980 226 mil 37.5% Regan

93 mil 1984 235 mil 39.5% Regan

89 mil 1988 244 mil 36.5% Bush

104 mil 1992 256 mil 40.5% Clinton

94 mil 1996 270 mil 34.8% Clinton

102 mil 2000 282 mil 36.1% Bush

122 mil 2004 293 mil 41.5% Bush

136 mil 2008 304 mil 44.7% Obama

126 mil 2012 314 mil 40.1% Obama

129 mil 2016 323 mil 39.9% Trump

144 mil 2020 331 mil 43.5%

I understand how you feel, and I warn you to be careful. Pride comes before the fall, and the election isnt over yet.
