They only needed to toss out 10% of the votes. And based on zip code they can estimate what ones have a high chance of being for Trump.

Thus all happens in the USPS.

At least in CO each ballot is tracked, and you are proactively informed when your ballot is received and counted. It's still not perfect (who's to say they didn't lie), but it's better than this shit.
