Ballots in some states have a barcode on them that can be scanned by a poll worker to bring up the registration tied to it, this is the case in Michigan.
Yes there are bar codes but they a NOT at any point tied to your ID.
Each ballot at the precinct is tracked but to make sure there are not used etc
When they hand you the ballot it is from a pile and they are not recording which ballot you are handed, they are not scanning it into a DB matching it to you.
It would go against the entire concept of a private vote, that data would and could be leaked.
