Hopefully they are able to force some audit or review. I think the MI SoS is a Whitmer ally and Whitmer hates Trump so much I could see nothing being done unless forced to.
The legislature wasn't able to do anything with the Whitmer coronavirus EOs. She just said she had this indefinite emergency power and that was it. It was eventually declared unconstitutional by the supreme court although now it's the county health department with the exact same mask requirement and other bullshit.
Whither and SOS don’t set rules for elections. That falls squarely to the state legislature. What Michigan GOP House should have done is make a declarative deadline, with no waivers for late ballots. That is why it’s called Election DAY.
