I was in the military and voted absentee, and during that time I had the opportunity to serve as an exchange personnel with the Canadian Forces. And in Canada, along with the fact that they had to show ID at the polls, even absentee voters didn't mail in their ballots. They voted at a remote site, IN-PERSON, and then their votes were processed to the correct riding (district).

Yes I can't understand why the US soldiers abroad aren't made to vote at a poll set up at their base.

I think it should be this way for the US military as well and I don't understand why it's not.
