Apparently they thought 30+ years of the 1982 Consent Pact that prevented GOP from challenging voter fraud has made the party soft and unwilling to do anything even after expiring.
The 2020 presidential election will be the first presidential election since 1980 in which the Republican Party will be able to deploy "ballot security operations". In 2019 Justin R. Clark, an official in Trump's re-election campaign, was recorded telling Republican lawyers that the expiration of the consent decree was a "huge, huge, huge, huge deal" for the campaign's election day operations in Wisconsin.
The GOP has been weak and ineffectual. If it wasn't for Trump they would have surrendered by now. If Trump is gone then we may as well change the party logo to the french flag.
Why would they ever make a pact like that? Just stupid. Prevented from challenging voter fraud? That leaves them wide open to be victims of voter fraud.
I think it was because the republicans had gotten caught committing voter fraud, and in order to let it go, the RNC had to concede the ability to challenge fraud in minority communities.
The way they cheat is to figure out the in person results, then add in all the mail in's at the end... giving them the chance to find out how many they need to find to flip the vote.
Trump got so many votes, they had to cheat so badly, that it became blatantly obvious.
In the past, everyone suspected it, but could never really prove it.
This time is different, they've been busted by someone with the balls to set them up and stop them.
I'm not gonna lie , everyone but Alito and Clarence worries me a bit. Hopefully they realize the magnitude of what's being perpetrated and the fact that Scotus will be packed and a joke if they rule for Joepedo
Assuming the 3 Scoops Justices are actual Constitutionatlists, they should side with the Republicans because how electors are decided is expressly on the state legislature per Article II Sect 1 Clause 2. Rehnquist, Scalia, and Thomas said that state courts cannot interpret much of "intended" meaning of state election legislation in Bush v Gore.
I’ve been trying to understand that this more. Does this mean that the state legislature would have to make a move and say that they’re disregarding the ballots and that the legislature will make the vote for president.
If so, that’s a big gamble that the state legislators will have to make. Since, if they make the call it could piss off a lot of their voters. Then again, nobody cares about who is on the state legislature, so it won’t matter.
The Republican Party of PA, who are the majority, has the lawsuit against the PA Secretary of State and it is started with the SoS is ignoring the law the legislature passed regarding deadlines and the PA Supreme Court changed the deadline from what the law specifically said to 3 days later. The Bush v Gore opinion specifically says “in a presidential election the clearly expressed intent of the legislature must prevail”. SCOTUS could give a final ruling that any ballots that were received after the deadline are invalid and counties were supposed to keep the ballots separate based on when received per previous SCOTUS advice and instructions the SoS sent the counties. Problem is that no one can verify that that is being done, according to Alito’s opinion he just gave.
Now regarding the state legislature selecting electors, some states do have laws regarding the criteria they are supposed to use for that. I believe it is MI that has one saying electors picked have to be for whoever won the state’s popular vote.
The left will do anything to stop Orange Man. Even if that means blatantly rigging the election. They don't love America and the principles behind it. Undermining OUR country IS their goal.
When was the last time they were held accountable? When Hillary went to jail for the email server? They think they are above the law and I am worried that they are right.
So, can someone please riddle me this?
How were the commies thinking they were going to get away with this?
I'm thinking they thought any downside would be like Kavanaugh. You know, hey its just politics, ha ha.
If there's no penalty, then why not go for it, even if its a completely transparent joke?
Betting the right would roll over? So if we don't, do they get off scot free?
I think the answer is they do this shit every damn election so they never thought twice about it.

How many people are even aware of this?
That's 1 more as of right now (ME)

I wasn’t until I read Not Karen’s comment.
The GOP has been playing a 30 year long game! Agree to the consent decree, get Dems to let down their guard. Hit them with GEOTUS after it ends!
The GOP has been weak and ineffectual. If it wasn't for Trump they would have surrendered by now. If Trump is gone then we may as well change the party logo to the french flag.
More like the GOP has been bought and paid for cucks since the 80's. You do realize they hate Trump, right?

So the post Kavanaugh process wink. shrug & smirk?
On this scale?
Well they didn't do it properly at the 2016 election.
We broke their toy.

enjoy the show.

I don’t think anyone wants blatant fraud in our elections. It undermines the entire foundation of our country.

Exactly
They think its Kavanaugh all over again
Ha ha my bad. Why you mad bro?
I think they just assumed Trump would concede
Thats not logical. Even a wimp like Bush fought against the FL gore fraud 20 years ago.
Now someone like Trump with something this obvious? In what universe?
Nah. It has to be more like a joke. Like who fucking cares if we get caught.
If they didn't try, if they had just folded, then how is the inevitable outcome any different?
This way, even with a loss they still have 40% thinking Trump cheated
So in that regard its a big win for them, salt the earth kind of tactics
No. I think they know Trump is different, so no concession
Rather I think China is their ace card. As in punish us, well burn the cities
Internal distraction gives their allies a chance to pounce
Its actually a smart play. I could see Trump reading the board and having to concede that angle
