I understand. But by auditing the software (check input data and compare it with results shown) they can detect if there were any irregularities (like the one found in Michigan) that might be difficult to detect without data analysis. If such irregularities do surface, then we can conclude that something was used to manipulate the data.

There are two areas to check the actual vote data base and the SCORECARD data base. From what I understand the reason this govt software is so dangerous/effective is it doesn't leave a trace.

To access this software you need to go through the NSA from what I have read, it is top,top secret stuff, and yes Obama stole a copy.

I been trying to understand how this would work. I voted in person in NV and the voting machine system prints a paper ballot receipt that looks like it goes into a large roll that is enclosed.

Interesting, where I vote in Massachusetts we fill in a paper ballot, it is inserted into a locked box and that is it.
