well, i hope we care more than we did when it was discovered that chi-di-fi (d, beijing) had a ccp chauffeur for 20 years. to my mind, she was compromised then and should never have been allowed to hold office again. she's held political office since '78 and is 87 freaking years old. i think she only stayed in office the last 4 years to try and keep her criminality from being discovered/dealt with.
